I thought someone had fiddled with the thermostat this morning when it was a bitter cold walk to work so quite chuffed to learn that Calgary was the second coldest place on Earth this morning. Beaten only by the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station.
The good news is that the temperatures have increased from -30°C to a balmy -25°C so we now are merely the third coldest place on Earth!
