Football insanity!

It is the equivalent of the AFL semi-finals and decides who in the west division will compete for the Grey Cup. The CFL West Final was played out between the Calgary Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (yes, those watermelon helmet wearing folks) at McMahon Stadium yesterday. McMahon is an outdoor stadium and fully open to the elements. What were our City fathers thinking when they built it? This is Calgary and the game was played in -19°C and snow. Seriously….

I was quite incredulous at the commitment of the fans until I found out the Riders will play the Montreal Alouettes in Edmonton for The Grey Cup next weekend… in their open air stadium with the forecast predicting -28°C!!
