Whilst the ski season does not officially finish until this weekend, the Collins Family is packing up our boots, putting a summer wax on our skis and washing all our gear for storage. It has been a great season. We have skied steeper, bumpier and faster than ever before. The final tally was Sean 29 days and Kate 23 days downhill; Sean 2 days and Kate 1 day x-country.
The breakdown:
- Sunshine - Sean 20, Kate 14
- Lake Louise - 3 days
- Big White - 3 days
- Fernie - 2 days
- Vista Ridge - 1 day
- Kananaskis (x-country) - Sean 2, Kate 1
Our season started on 11 November 2009 (opening day at Sunshine) and Kate’s season ended on 1st May and Sean’s 14th May.
Yes, winter does last 6 months in Calgary...
