Despite being a born and bred Albertan, Sean (horror) had never been to Fort McMurray - that is until the weekend. Thanks to company sponsored air tickets and a requirement for me to attend The Keyano Gala, we enjoyed a wonderful weekend with The phelans. We took Sean to all the McMurray hotspots - Syncrude site, The Oilsands Discovery Centre, Tim Hortons, Vista Ridge Ski Hill And drove him down the main drag pointing out highlights such as the Oil Can (sex, drugs and rock 'n roll all avaliable).
The Gala was a hoot. A 20's themed black tie affair of 1200 with Colin James (a famous Canadian singer) to entertain us. Well worth the flights!
