I always though that towing icebergs was an urban myth - you know the one - lassoing an iceberg and watering the desert. Today, whilst scanning the lastest oil and gas procurement contracts out for tender, I discovered one for the supply and maintenance of iceberg nets.
How do you prevent an iceberg from colliding with your offshore oil rig? Throw a big net over it and tow it out of harm's way of course!! Who would have thought?
