17 degrees in the water, 15 degrees out under pouring rain for the ride and run legs. End result - bloody freezing!
Oh and I completed it in a rather slow 1 hour, 52 minutes.

- Kate and Sean
- Come along for the adventure with Kate and Sean sailing their Garcia Exploration 45 'Chinook'. Chinook is named after the down-slope winds we experience in Southern Alberta. They are a warm and welcome wind. Sean's grandfather was born in Chinook, Alberta and the HobieCat Kate raced as a teenager was also named Chinook. So the name ties into where we live, and both Sean and Kate's background. It also works on the radio and is easy to spell in many languages.
