Way back in the Fall, I optimistically planted tulip bulbs hoping that in the Spring, we would have an army of bright flowers marching across the garden. I was very excited to see the bulbs break through the dirt when the snow finally melted and was anticipating a display comparable to those at the Butchart Gardens.
Just as they were about to flower, our neighbour squirrel dug them up and enjoyed them for a snack!
